Facebook messenger standalone website launched! [HOW TO USE FB MESSENGER ONLINE IN PC ]

Facebook, a few days ago launched Messenger as a standalone website on

http://messenger.com

Facebook launched messenger as a standalone app long time ago on all the mobile platforms namely, Windows Phone, iOS and Android.

And with the recent launch of the WhatsApp web the company has moved onto launching the Messenger as a standalone website. With the messenger app the user need not visit the site or open the Facebook app, since he / she can directly access his/her chats, without bothering about the Newsfeed.

HOW TO USE THE FACEBOOK MESSENGER STANDALONE WEBSITE?

To use the messenger website all you need to do is to go to

http://messenger.com

and then sign in using your Facebook account. If you are already signed in to Facebook with your account then you will see a button saying “Continue as ABC”. (ABC is your name here). Below screenshot demonstrates the same:

Talking about the User Interface of the Facebook Messenger standalone website, the UI is pretty clean just as the mobile applications. The screen is divided into three parts. Below is the screenshot of the Messenger windows after signing in:

  • The first one shows all the chats by the names and the last message sent or received.
  • The second part displays the messages for the current chat or the chosen chat.
  • The third part displays the details of the friend to which you are currently talking to.
